Spectators: 7125 (Terracing: 5345, Seating: 1639, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Denis Arixo started the match with the kick off. With his leg Vladimiro Ellande managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Cultural Mattaldi's Teodoro Asteri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Denis Arixo sped through Cultural Mattaldi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alvaro Oton. After 19 minutes, Denis Arixo made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cultural Mattaldi's Alvaro Oton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Denis Arixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute Denis Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Oton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Valiente hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cultural Mattaldi's goalkeeper Alvaro Oton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Arixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Oton having to interfere. Adriana Precioso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Rutenio hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Blas Tonete came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Club Atlético Oberá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blas Tonete couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Denis Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Oton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Rutenio during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cultural Mattaldi! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herminio Salvatore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cultural Mattaldi's zone, Denis Arixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Oton came out of the goal and Denis Arixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, Cultural Mattaldi's goal looked a bit too open when Adriana Precioso came free, but Alvaro Oton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Denis Arixo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alvaro Oton. The goal made the score 0-5. Denis Arixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adriana Precioso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Oton having to interfere. Angel Guipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Alvaro Oton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Oberá. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Arixo got free with Alvaro Oton in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Arixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alvaro Oton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cultural Mattaldi's Alvaro Oton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Cultural Mattaldi from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Oton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Guipuzkoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Oton made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Denis Arixo sent off a good shot on target. Adriana Precioso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Arixo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alvaro Oton firmly grabbed it by the left post. 81 minutes in the game, Blas Tonete fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alvaro Oton having to interfere. Club Atlético Oberá made a substitution. Quique Galvan replaced Denis Arixo. After a rather tough play, Cultural Mattaldi's Wilfredo Veronica got a free kick in the 84th minute. Angelo Aires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alvaro Oton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Quique Galvan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Atlético Oberá's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
