Ismael Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Gartxot having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Freddy Basualdo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Buenos Aires and the Lugüercio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atletico Buenos Aires! Inocencio Gartxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernán Boyero's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Inocencio Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Mundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Hernán Boyero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Inocencio Gartxot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Atletico Buenos Aires getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rodrigo Ermano hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Hernán Boyero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lugüercio FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Hernán Boyero came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Lugüercio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernán Boyero couldn't finish the play. Hernán Boyero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Mundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernán Boyero was the one to do the kick off. Sam Sewell hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Eliseo Bieito was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Ildefonso Loramendi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ildefonso Loramendi really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Esteban Cordara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Gartxot having to interfere. The Lugüercio FC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Lugüercio FC's Hernán Boyero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Inocencio Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Boyero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Lugüercio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Bento came free, but Eliseo Bieito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sam Sewell kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Lugüercio FC made a substitution. Joel Quico replaced Bonifacio Frasco. In the 79th minute of the match, Bruno Bento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eliseo Bieito saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 81st minute of the match Atletico Buenos Aires got a corner. Lugüercio FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Freddy Basualdo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Freddy Basualdo made a great header on Atletico Buenos Aires's corner, it was just that Lugüercio FC's Eliseo Bieito managed to reach the ball for a save. If Hernán Boyero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Ildefonso Loramendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inocencio Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernán Boyero in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Lugüercio FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
