Spectators: 7123 (Terracing: 5344, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 141) Justino Abarca came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Reyes Locos's Damian Stephen. But to his dismay, Damian Stephen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. C. A. Vélez Sarsfield's Denis Olivar got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Prejun having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Stephen in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justino Abarca saved C. A. Vélez Sarsfield from getting behind. The supporters of Los Reyes Locos booed when C. A. Vélez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Zwiers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Olivar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Prejun having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Simon Terciero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C. A. Vélez Sarsfield's Justino Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Laurin in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Olivar to make the kick off. Justino Abarca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelino Berriotxoa in the 53rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Los Reyes Locos's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Olivar came free, but Igor Prejun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justino Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Stephen in the 72nd minute of play. Gaston Laurin scored 0-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justino Abarca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of C. A. Vélez Sarsfield booed when Los Reyes Locos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Azibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justino Abarca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Laurin in the 80th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Reyes Locos's Mauro Baladi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justino Abarca. That made the score 0-3 after 86 minutes of play. Los Reyes Locos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
