In the 22nd minute Astor Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Beliran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinicio Hibai got free with Roberto Beliran in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 played minutes Gorina got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Hibai. Feliberto Bortzaioriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Roman old boys's goalkeeper Roberto Beliran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinicio Hibai. Vinicio Hibai in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roberto Beliran, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Feliberto Bortzaioriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Orland having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Gorina's Astor Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Beliran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Astor Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gregorio Rivas charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregorio Rivas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gregorio Rivas hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Feliberto Bortzaioriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Primitivo Orland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gorina's zone, Feliberto Bortzaioriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primitivo Orland came out of the goal and Feliberto Bortzaioriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primitivo Orland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliberto Bortzaioriz in the 82nd minute. Roman old boys's Feliberto Bortzaioriz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman old boys's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
