Alejo Segio might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Benvido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejo Segio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 4th minute Alejo Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Benvido was a little too slow when Alejo Segio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Alejo Segio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Benvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Segio in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute Alejo Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Santiago Kimetz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Benvido. Newells Old Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Kimetz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Segio came free, but Julio Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Alejo Segio struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Julio Benvido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off. Prudencio Luzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Abalos in the 32nd minute of play forced NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off's goalkeeper Ismael Lehoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ovidio Hernando hit a great ball. Ismael Lehoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Luzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 38 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Etxatxu. Alejo Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Benvido having to interfere. In the 45th minute, NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off's Ovidio Hernando seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ovidio Hernando the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ovidio Hernando had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off! The referee gave Newells Old Boys a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Melchor Cisco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off's Ismael Lehoi. 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Abalos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Filomeno Santikurtz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Lehoi. The goal made the score 2-2. Horacio Abalos might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Lehoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horacio Abalos ran back to his position shaking his head. NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off's Ismael Lehoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off from getting a goal against them. If Horacio Abalos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The excitement rose when NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off's Esteve Astigar after 79 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-2. Esteve Astigar took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Benvido. Julio Benvido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. The NosCompróUnÁrabe - Off support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
