Los Morris's Rigoberto Curcio got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Aristides Luar sped through Sportivo Zaratustra's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hector Dominguez. Victor Tartalo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Rigoberto Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Dominguez having to interfere. Ciro Hibais short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Godofredo Faron to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hector Dominguez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aristides Luar's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Zaratustra's zone, Rigoberto Curcio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Dominguez came out of the goal and Rigoberto Curcio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hector Dominguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Luar in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Asteri in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Faron saved Los Morris from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Curcio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Dominguez was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Los Morris were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Aristides Luar might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Dominguez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aristides Luar ran back to his position shaking his head. Los Morris's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osvaldo Cruz in the 85th minute. The corner led Los Morris's Osvaldo Cruz to fire away a dangerous shot which Hector Dominguez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 87 played minutes Sportivo Zaratustra got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Henric. Rigoberto Curcio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Hector Dominguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Los Morris's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
