Cristian Asteri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Humberto Oihenarte came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Asteri slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. The supporters of Junín booed when Sportivo Zaratustra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Asteri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Gar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Dominguez. Sportivo Zaratustra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Asteri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Humberto Oihenarte. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. Herminio Millano kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Sportivo Zaratustra booed when Junín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Filipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Lykomedes Gomatos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Dominguez. Sportivo Zaratustra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lykomedes Gomatos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The Junín fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Junín's Lykomedes Gomatos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 30 minutes into the match, Ciro Hibai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Oihenarte. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lykomedes Gomatos to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Lykomedes Gomatos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Junín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lykomedes Gomatos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Eneto in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Dominguez saved Sportivo Zaratustra from getting behind. Gustavo Eneto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hector Dominguez came out and tried to block the shot, but Gustavo Eneto slotted it home off the left post making it 3-7 in the 58th minute. With his leg Hector Dominguez managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Junín's Lykomedes Gomatos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the match, Ciro Hibai notched a goal, 4-7, to the right of Junín's Humberto Oihenarte. Humberto Oihenarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Eneto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Dominguez was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Hector Dominguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Eneto in the 76th minute of the match. Hector Dominguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Eneto in the 82nd minute of play. Lykomedes Gomatos in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Zaratustra's goalkeeper Hector Dominguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Asteri might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Oihenarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Asteri ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ciro Hibai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Dominguez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Sportivo Zaratustra fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Junín were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
