In the 2nd minute, Atilano Gaskon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Mataleao FC's Ovidio Lopez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julian Bilintx. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Arsenio Gregory came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julian Bilintx could save by the left post. 12 minutes into the match, Canals AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Lopez came free, but Julian Bilintx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnulfo Loiola fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 14th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. If Arsenio Gregory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24th play minutes Ovidio Lopez shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Julian Bilintx and just under the crossbar into goal. Ovidio Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Bilintx having to interfere. Julian Bilintx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Lopez's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 35 minutes, Arsenio Gregory made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Canals AFC's Julian Bilintx tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Julian Bilintx managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Mataleao FC's Arsenio Gregory fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mataleao FC's Arsenio Gregory got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Goito was the one to do the kick off. Julian Bilintx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arsenio Gregory went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 54 minutes into the game, one of Canals AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Mataleao FC. Arsenio Gregory stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julian Bilintx. 6-0. Julian Bilintx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Canals AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Clemente Goito hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Gregory in the 64th minute of play forced Canals AFC's goalkeeper Julian Bilintx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Canals AFC! The referee gave Mataleao FC a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arsenio Gregory, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Canals AFC's Julian Bilintx. 7-0. In the 80th minute, Ovidio Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Bilintx was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Julian Bilintx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Gregory in the 89th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Goito during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Canals AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Clemente Goito hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Gilberto Goiz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julian Bilintx showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Canals AFC defense, Arsenio Gregory kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Bilintx. The Canals AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Bilintx should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Arsenio Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mataleao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Gregory was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Bilintx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98thth minute of the game Ovidio Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canals AFC's Julian Bilintx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Arsenio Gregory came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Mataleao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Gregory couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mataleao FC had played much better football throughout.
