The audience was convinced that Leonardo Gonsalvo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eulalio Tello was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Ulf Malmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Eulalio Tello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SINESTADO FC's Ulf Malmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Gonsalvo in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eulalio Tello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd match minute, SINESTADO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Pirani to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Gilberto Ticho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Pietras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Puyol's late challenge caught a Rigby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Puyol helped the player get up and apologised. Ulf Malmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulf Malmgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Tello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulf Malmgren ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Rigby booed when SINESTADO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Ted didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes SINESTADO FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Pirani. Rigby's Gilberto Ticho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SINESTADO FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Leonardo Gonsalvos short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Eulalio Tello to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 57 minutes, Cosme Constancio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SINESTADO FC and the Rigby players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cosme Constancio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Ulf Malmgren came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the SINESTADO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Malmgren couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, SINESTADO FC's Leonardo Gonsalvo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eulalio Tello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, SINESTADO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Abalos to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Gonsalvo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eulalio Tello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Malmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigby succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SINESTADO FC had controlled the match.
