Victorio Chayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Generoso Tomi's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The audience was convinced that Maximino Argoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorio Chayo was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute Zeledon Telmo suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Victorio Chayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Tomi in the 57th minute of play. Generoso Tomi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Real Pilar's Generoso Tomi got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelino Vincent took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorio Chayo. Victorio Chayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Generoso Tomi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Club Atletico Platense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorio Chayo should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Generoso Tomi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victorio Chayo. The goal made the score 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximino Argoitz in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorio Chayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Platense's zone, Ubaldo Pasqual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Chayo came out of the goal and Ubaldo Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Generoso Tomi took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Victorio Chayo to make any attempt to save it. Real Pilar's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
