In the 15th minute Conrado Oro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prospero Aguilera during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Palermo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Damaso Cuarto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 25th minute Arnaldo Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Virila didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Santo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Arnaldo Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Virila having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Feliberto Virila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Oro in the 53rd minute. Carl Hodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Norumbega FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Norumbega FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Arnaldo Santo scored to the left of an out of position Feliberto Virila, making the score, 1-3. Didi Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Norumbega FC's goalkeeper Feliberto Virila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Oro. After some careless play in the Palermo FC defense, Damaso Cuarto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carl Hodge. The Palermo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Hodge should have stopped the shot. Arnaldo Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Virila having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Conrado Oro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 92 minutes into the game, Camilo Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norumbega FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo FC the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Norumbega FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Feliberto Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
