A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Tabaquillo's goalkeeper Silverio Columbo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Tauro. In the 19th minute, Šandor Marangunić made a precise shot to the right of Leon Deunoro. Sporting Nueva Italia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Fernando Beila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Deunoro. Sporting Nueva Italia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Beila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Fernando Beila took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leon Deunoro. Leon Deunoro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Fabricio Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Nueva Italia's protests and gave Fabricio Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. If Fernando Beila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leon Deunoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Šandor Marangunić, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Cosme Oskitz's late challenge caught a Tabaquillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosme Oskitz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sporting Nueva Italia getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Cosme Oskitz hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Naike to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Nueva Italia's zone, Šandor Marangunić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Deunoro came out of the goal and Šandor Marangunić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Šandor Marangunić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Deunoro having to interfere. Sporting Nueva Italia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Šandor Marangunić 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. 75 minutes into the game, Šandor Marangunić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Leon Deunoro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute Rafael Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Columbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Deunoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Patrido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Tabaquillo's Benedicto Patrido dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Munio in the 91st minute of play forced Sporting Nueva Italia's goalkeeper Leon Deunoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Nueva Italia's zone, Fernando Beila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Deunoro came out of the goal and Fernando Beila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fernando Beila came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Tabaquillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Beila couldn't finish the play. Tabaquillo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
