Raza Unica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Daniel Gaitan scored to the left of an out of position Wellington Guimarães, making the score, 1-0. When Rene Corderro came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Botija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Corderro couldn't finish the play. After 9 played minutes Raza Unica got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Urritz. In the 13th minute Aaron Sarracino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Aaron Sarracino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Basilio Abad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedicto Tancredo got free with Wellington Guimarães in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enzo Ricart took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basilio Abad. Basilio Abad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Benicio Urritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Sarracino in the 34th minute of play forced Botija's goalkeeper Basilio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Elivareo in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Hibai in the 45th minute of play forced Botija's goalkeeper Basilio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Urbano Barto made a kick off. After some careless play in the Botija defense, Dionisio Hibai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basilio Abad. The Botija fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Abad should have stopped the shot. Raza Unica made a substitution. Andres Ibar replaced Benicio Urritz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Elivareo in the 64th minute of play forced Botija's goalkeeper Basilio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Urbano Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Botija's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Elivareo came free, but Basilio Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes Botija got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Palban. 1-6 became the score in the 76th minute when Lino Elivareo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Andres Ibar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aaron Sarracino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Basilio Abad when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
