If Robustiano Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 3rd minute, Danilo Louis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emiliano Hustaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Robustiano Hotz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Defensores de Armstrong's zone, Silverio Sayvion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Hustaz came out of the goal and Silverio Sayvion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Robustiano Hotz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Hustaz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Sayvion in the 14th minute of play forced Defensores de Armstrong's goalkeeper Emiliano Hustaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Deportivo Jacarandá's Robustiano Hotz in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Defensores de Armstrong's goalie prevented a goal. Emiliano Hustaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Hotz in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Calisto got free with Candido Furtado in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 minutes, Danilo Louis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Jacarandá and the Defensores de Armstrong players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Defensores de Armstrong booed when Deportivo Jacarandá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Louis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Hustaz having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Deportivo Jacarandá's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Viator came free, but Candido Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Danilo Louis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Jacarandá's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Louis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Hustaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Deportivo Jacarandá's Candido Furtado got control of the ball when Eustacio Calisto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Jurdan hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Emiliano Hustaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Sayvion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silverio Sayvion in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Hustaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silverio Sayvion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Defensores de Armstrong's Emiliano Hustaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Louis in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute Paulo Viator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Deportivo Jacarandá's Danilo Louis in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Defensores de Armstrong's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Deportivo Jacarandá were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Viator made a kick off. Emiliano Hustaz stood somewhat misplaced when Danilo Louis came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 55 minute. In the 64th match minute, Defensores de Armstrong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Procopio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Danilo Louis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Jacarandá's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Louis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Hustaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Defensores de Armstrong's goalkeeper Emiliano Hustaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silverio Sayvion. In the 80th minute Paulo Viator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robustiano Hotz in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Hustaz saved Defensores de Armstrong from getting behind. Deportivo Jacarandá's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
