The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonides Suarez during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Venancio Pelagius went to the wrong direction when Alvaro Matthew was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Jaen Buron struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Carlos Formerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Humboldt. Humboldt's Javier Maura got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute Jaen Buron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Formerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Maloyas's Isidoro Matthew made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Venancio Pelagius was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Maloyas's Carlos Formerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Maloyas from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute, Jaen Buron fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlos Formerio, passed just outside the right post. In the 57th minute, Jaen Buron had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Humboldt made a substitution. Julio Totakoxe replaced Jaen Buron. In the 58th minute, Alvaro Matthew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Julio Totakoxe made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Formerio. Maloyas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Isidoro Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Venancio Pelagius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Mambru charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaston Mambru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Julio Totakoxe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelino Kiliz during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, one of Maloyas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maloyas. When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, Humboldt's Victor Ilazki got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carlos Formerio. Carlos Formerio made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Julio Totakoxe sent off a good shot on target. Humboldt's Julio Totakoxe got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Vladislav Uličný's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Formerio was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Humboldt left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maloyas.
