After a rather tough play, El Peluquero's Honorio Baudelio got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Bernardino Urre fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maloyas's protests and gave Bernardino Urre a yellow card for diving instead. Bernardino Urre hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ambrosio Abilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Formerio was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Honorio Baudelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ambrosio Abilio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Formerio came out and tried to block the shot, but Ambrosio Abilio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Isidoro Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Iratzeder having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardino Urre in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Iratzeder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Isidoro Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Iratzeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Urre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ambrosio Abilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Peluquero's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Abilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Formerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Iratzeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Matthew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to El Peluquero getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ramon Bernat hit a great ball. If Florencio Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ambrosio Abilio was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Hernán Soria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Peluquero and the Maloyas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Peluquero's Hernán Soria got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Alvaro Matthew sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Iratzeder skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Peluquero's zone, Isidoro Matthew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Iratzeder came out of the goal and Isidoro Matthew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Iratzeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Urre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Ambrosio Abilio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Carlos Formerio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ambrosio Abilio in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Formerio saved Maloyas from getting behind. Carlos Formerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Abilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Matthew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 86 minutes, Ambrosio Abilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Peluquero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Abilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bernardino Urre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florencio Rivas during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Maloyas booed when El Peluquero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Iratzeder was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alvaro Matthew. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Peluquero fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maloyas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
