After a rather tough play, La Torçida's Geronimo Mikelar got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosme Abad in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Orzaize prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Fabio Bonadona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Candido Vigil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. c.a.river plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candido Vigil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Nicolas Frasquito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. c.a.river plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Torçida the free kick. Nicolas Frasquito hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Denis Inko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Abadie in the 22nd minute of the match. La Torçida's Abel Orzaize proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save La Torçida from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Gonzalo Daunte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Inko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Inko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Abadie in the 33rd minute of play. Denis Inko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Daunte in the 36th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, La Torçida's Albano Abadie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denis Inko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Albano Abadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonzalo Daunte in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Inko saved c.a.river plate from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Daunte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Candido Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Abel Orzaize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosme Abad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Orzaize having to interfere. A collision led to La Torçida getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Geronimo Mikelar hit a great ball. The supporters of c.a.river plate booed when La Torçida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Daunte in the 69th minute of play forced c.a.river plate's goalkeeper Denis Inko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The c.a.river plate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
