After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Candido Vigil managed to get in a good position for a shot. c.a.river plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Vigil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Orzaize breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Frasquito charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Frasquito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nicolas Frasquito kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Denis Inko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Daunte in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, La Torçida's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Vigil came free, but Abel Orzaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in La Torçida's zone, Cosme Abad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Orzaize came out of the goal and Cosme Abad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Cosme Abad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Orzaize was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The La Torçida players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. c.a.river plate were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosme Abad to make the kick off. After some careless play in the c.a.river plate defense, Gonzalo Daunte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Inko. The c.a.river plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Inko should have stopped the shot. When Cosme Abad came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the c.a.river plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosme Abad couldn't finish the play. Denis Inko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Daunte, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Daunte in the 63rd minute of play forced c.a.river plate's goalkeeper Denis Inko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Vigil struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Abel Orzaize didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for c.a.river plate. In the 73rd minute, Candido Vigil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Orzaize was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Melchor Berdoi put in a rough tackle. In the 78th minute, one of c.a.river plate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for c.a.river plate. The referee gave La Torçida a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Cordero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of c.a.river plate's Denis Inko. 2-2. Albano Abadie scored 3-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Inko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Gonzalo Daunte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Torçida fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. c.a.river plate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
