Legionarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Galeno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Quinten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Gerber in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guido Franco saved Chacarita Juniors from getting behind. Tobias Tono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Gerber in the 17th minute of play. C.S y D. Legionarios's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Augusto Quinten in the 23rd minute. The corner led C.S y D. Legionarios's Augusto Quinten to fire away a dangerous shot which Guido Franco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Guido Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Tono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Augusto Quinten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Franco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 29th minute Americo Matxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Chacarita Juniors getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gaspar Mancio hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes C.S y D. Legionarios got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Galeno. 33 minutes into the game, Chacarita Juniors's Isaias Eutropio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Genaro Bibiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita Juniors's zone, Hugo Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Franco came out of the goal and Hugo Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of C.S y D. Legionarios booed when Chacarita Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Mancio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guido Franco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Gerber's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Israel Rami stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Hugo Gerber took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Guido Franco to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th match minute, C.S y D. Legionarios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Matxin to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, C.S y D. Guido Franco was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Augusto Quinten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guido Franco. Augusto Quinten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. 66 minutes into the game, one of Chacarita Juniors:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Guido Franco went to the wrong direction when Augusto Quinten was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Angel Perez's late challenge caught a C.S y D. Legionarios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angel Perez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chacarita Juniors's Angel Perez got a free kick in the 68th minute. Hugo Gerber received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guido Franco came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugo Gerber slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 77th minute. Chacarita Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Augusto Quinten scored to the left of an out of position Guido Franco, making the score, 1-7. Hugo Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Guido Franco made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Matxin in the 90th minute of play forced Chacarita Juniors's goalkeeper Guido Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Gerber in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guido Franco saved Chacarita Juniors from getting behind. Hugo Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Chacarita Juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.S y D. Legionarios were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
