An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimierz Grabowicz in the 22nd minute of play forced Lyon FC's goalkeeper Feliberto Eguerdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliberto Eguerdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazimierz Grabowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boca's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
