Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ernesto Tancredo made the kick off and thus started the match. Venancio Sustrai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Tancredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Ernesto Tancredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Sustrai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 7 minutes, Hilario Orlandus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esperanza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Orlandus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Hilario Orlandus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Venancio Sustrai was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Haroldo Confesor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Cuartio went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 24 minutes of play, Esperanza's Hilario Orlandus made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Venancio Sustrai was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Alvear FC's Enrique Cuartio got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ernesto Tancredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esperanza's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Tancredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venancio Sustrai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Esperanza's zone, Enrique Cuartio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Confesor came out of the goal and Enrique Cuartio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Cuartio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Haroldo Confesor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Basilio Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Martin Ostadar came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Alvear FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Ostadar couldn't finish the play. Honorio Florinio charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorio Florinio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hilario Orlandus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Alvear FC's Martin Ostadar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo Confesor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Esperanza were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrique Cuartio was the one to do the kick off. Martin Ostadar's late challenge caught a Esperanza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Ostadar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Alvear FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Ostadar to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Hilario Orlandus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Venancio Sustrai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Hilario Orlandus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Venancio Sustrai. Alvear FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hilario Orlandus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 66th minute, Enrique Cuartio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Ostadar hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Enrique Cuartio kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Hilario Orlandus struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Venancio Sustrai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esperanza. With a little luck, Alvear FC's Venancio Sustrai got control of the ball when Hilario Orlandus tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hilario Orlandus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvear FC's Venancio Sustrai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Tancredo in the 84th minute of play. Venancio Sustrai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Florinio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilario Orlandus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Esperanza's Ernesto Tancredo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esperanza eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
