The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silvestre Noe struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. A wasted opportunity for Gaypón. 16 minutes into the match, Antaje's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Maldonado came free, but Aurelio Vistruario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Silvestre Noe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Maldonado struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Paolo Orlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genaro Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Vistruario having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paolo Orlan was the one to do the kick off. Aurelio Vistruario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Maldonado in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Genaro Maldonado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaypón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Maldonado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Vistruario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Genaro Maldonado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurelio Vistruario was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Marco Indartsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorato Eate hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match Baldomero Weterio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Vistruario skillfully saved the ball. After 77 played minutes Genaro Maldonado rounded Antaje's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, Gaypón's Genaro Maldonado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Vistruario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 85 minutes of play, Gaypón's Silvestre Noe made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Vistruario was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaypón's Silvestre Noe got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelio Vistruario stood somewhat misplaced when Genaro Maldonado came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 91 minute. Gaypón's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
