After a rather tough play, brocha gorda FC's Bernabe Oroitz got a free kick in the 4th minute. Zeledon Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Orzaize recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 played minutes brocha gorda FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Oroitz. After 19 minutes of play, speed's Fausto Orzaize made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severo Daunte was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute Maximo Paublo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Paublo in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Paublo in the 31st minute of play forced speed's goalkeeper Christian Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Paublo might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Pombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximo Paublo ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, brocha gorda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Orzaize came free, but Severo Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Orzaize in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severo Daunte saved brocha gorda FC from getting behind. In the 47th minute, speed's Deng Zhen Ke seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Deng Zhen Ke the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of speed protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Deng Zhen Ke had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in speed fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Christian Pombal went to the wrong direction when Jaime Orti was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximo Paublo was the one to do the kick off. If Alejo Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in brocha gorda FC's zone, Pastor Esdras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Daunte came out of the goal and Pastor Esdras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernabe Oroitz charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernabe Oroitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zeledon Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Daunte having to interfere. Pastor Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Zeledon Txurio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. speed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Txurio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Daunte made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Pastor Esdras sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind brocha gorda FC's goalkeeper Severo Daunte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Pastor Esdras managed to get in a good position for a shot. speed's supporters rose to their feet, but Pastor Esdras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severo Daunte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Zeledon Txurio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Severo Daunte, passed just outside the right post. Pastor Esdras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Daunte having to interfere. brocha gorda FC's Severo Daunte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Txurio in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Pastor Esdras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, speed's Severo Daunte threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zeledon Txurio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pastor Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. brocha gorda FC's Severo Daunte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Esdras in the 98th minute of play. speed's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
