Marcelo Pay started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Yapeyú FC booed when Diferencias Abismales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Yapeyú FC's Leonides Rexino got control of the ball when Diego Bernardi tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Yapeyú FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aurelio Gimenez hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Bonifacio Etxeberri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natalio Maties showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Espiridion, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Diego Bernardi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Diferencias Abismales's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marcelo Pay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Rexino having to make a save. Oscar Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Maties having to interfere. Leonides Rexino made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Diego Bernardi sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Herrera struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Natalio Maties didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yapeyú FC. When Yapeyú FC's Oscar Herrera in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Diferencias Abismales's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Leonides Rexino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Oscar Herrera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Maties was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Yapeyú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Pay came free, but Leonides Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Rexino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Bernardi took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Rexino. Leonides Rexino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Diferencias Abismales's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
