Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Herrera in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedê Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute Jardel Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Aurre in the 17th minute of play forced Yapeyú FC's goalkeeper Leonides Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sixto Lartaun fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liga Juniors's protests and gave Sixto Lartaun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Liga Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Lartaun to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Liga Juniors's Dedê Montenegro got control of the ball when Jaime Espiridion tried to sneak it across the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Herrera to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Obeko hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dedê Montenegro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Liga Juniors's Fausto Dolcet got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Yapeyú FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bonifacio Etxeberri hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Oscar Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dedê Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Espiridion, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jardel Carneiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Leonides Rexino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 66th minute, Liga Juniors's Fausto Dolcet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonides Rexino. Leonides Rexino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Liga Juniors's zone, Jaime Espiridion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedê Montenegro came out of the goal and Jaime Espiridion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Oscar Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yapeyú FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Yapeyú FC's Leonides Rexino got control of the ball when Jardel Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oscar Herrera took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dedê Montenegro. Dedê Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Yapeyú FC had won after a very even match.
