Edelmiro Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 温斌海 came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Juan Funes. But to his dismay, Juan Funes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Juan Funes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. 温斌海 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Modesto Weather received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. 温斌海 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edelmiro Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emilio Lia kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Juan Funes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Funes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 温斌海 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Modesto Weather ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 温斌海 was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 61st minute Juan Funes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 温斌海 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sotelo AFC defense, Modesto Weather kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 温斌海. The Sotelo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 温斌海 should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sotelo AFC's zone, Juan Funes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 温斌海 came out of the goal and Juan Funes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 温斌海 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Weather in the 68th minute of play. Tadeo Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. 温斌海 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Edelmiro Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edelmiro Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. 温斌海 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Sotelo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Funes came free, but 温斌海 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Modesto Weather cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. 温斌海 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Modesto Weather took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 温斌海. 温斌海 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 温斌海 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Funes in the 96th minute of the match. Boca Juniors's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
