Julian Benvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Jobo in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Cordareo in the 7th minute of play forced Defensa y Justicia's goalkeeper Julian Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Socorro hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurelijus Uogintas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julian Benvido. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. After a rather tough play, el santo d la ciudadela's Jose Hanni got a free kick in the 15th minute. Luis Qwinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eleuterio Vimaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raul Montel having to make a save. In the 22nd minute, Filomeno Cordareo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Benvido was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 34 minutes of play, el santo d la ciudadela's Filomeno Cordareo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julian Benvido was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Elvio Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot. el santo d la ciudadela's supporters rose to their feet, but Elvio Benet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Benvido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victorio Indartsu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. el santo d la ciudadela's Mauricio Jobo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julian Benvido but with some difficulty. Julian Benvido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Bikendi in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Defensa y Justicia's Julian Benvido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Cordareo in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Filomeno Cordareo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The el santo d la ciudadela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Filomeno Cordareo managed to get in a good position for a shot. el santo d la ciudadela's supporters rose to their feet, but Filomeno Cordareo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Bikendi in the 64th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Filomeno Cordareo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Defensa y Justicia's zone, Filomeno Cordareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Benvido came out of the goal and Filomeno Cordareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julian Benvido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filomeno Cordareo went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 87th match minute, Defensa y Justicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Bortzaioriz to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. el santo d la ciudadela had played much better football throughout.
