Placido Giro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eriberto Bixintxo's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Alonzo Goiz fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mogigasta AFC's protests and gave Alonzo Goiz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Alonzo Goiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Eriberto Bixintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Giro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Papo in the 30th minute of play forced Excepcion's goalkeeper Herminio Hats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justino Papo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Justino Papo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Abarca got free with Herminio Hats in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee felt a red card was in order, 57 minutes into the game, when Ubaldo Gitano put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Excepcion:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mogigasta AFC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Herminio Hats, was totally fooled by Mogigasta AFC's Alvaro Godoy, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dante Gaizko's late challenge caught a Excepcion's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Gaizko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Dante Gaizko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Raymon hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Justino Papo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Herminio Hats came out and tried to block the shot, but Justino Papo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 70th minute. In the 77th minute Eriberto Bixintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Giro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Herminio Hats successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 94 minutes into the match, Excepcion's goalkeeper Herminio Hats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Duarte. If Eriberto Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
