Vanhelstein FC's Celedonio Quilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Austin in the 3rd minute of play. If Diego Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celedonio Quilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Abancens, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Diego Ramos struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ildefonso Bide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vanhelstein FC. In the 23rd minute, Jonas Normando fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ildefonso Bide, passed just outside the right post. Artemio Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute of the game Alberto Claude made a throw-in which Damian Lopes played forward. 48 minutes into the match, Vanhelstein FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Abancens came free, but Celedonio Quilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vanhelstein FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Racing Club were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermengildo Demario to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcelino Abancens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Celedonio Quilo made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Efrain Bonadona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Damian Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Quilo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Normando in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Bide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gervasio Sandalio hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match Pedro Licerio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Bide showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 88 played minutes Vanhelstein FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Licerio. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Jonas Normando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ildefonso Bide. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ildefonso Bide should have stopped the shot. Celedonio Quilo made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Marcelino Abancens sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vanhelstein FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Racing Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
