With a little luck, Mariño's Maximiliano Beltxe got control of the ball when Jocelyn Malin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Astor Kelemen hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes El Muñeco got a freekick which was hit by Severino Casado. In the 16th minute of the match Mariño got a corner. El Muñeco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Astor Kelemen ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Mariño's Zeledon Ibar got a free kick in the 20th minute. Danilo Maura's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Maximiliano Beltxe - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes Severino Casado rounded Mariño's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. A collision led to Mariño getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ruben Timo hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Mariño's goalkeeper Maximiliano Beltxe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jocelyn Malin. 33 minutes into the match, Mariño's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Casado came free, but Maximiliano Beltxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Beltxe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jocelyn Malin in the 36th minute. Aurelio Berdaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Beltxe made a huge save. Hıdır Ekici's late challenge caught a El Muñeco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hıdır Ekici helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mariño getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Hıdır Ekici hit a great ball. Maximiliano Beltxe made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jocelyn Malin sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Severino Casado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maximiliano Beltxe. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. After some careless play in the Mariño defense, Jocelyn Malin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Beltxe. The Mariño fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Beltxe should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Severino Casado made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, El Muñeco's Severino Casado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximiliano Beltxe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Maximiliano Beltxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Severino Casado notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Mariño's Maximiliano Beltxe. Maximiliano Beltxe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But to his dismay, Severino Casado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Florencio Tabor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariño's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Tabor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Brudzisz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Severino Casado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Muñeco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Maximiliano Beltxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Berdaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Maximiliano Beltxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Casado in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Jocelyn Malin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximiliano Beltxe. Mariño's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jocelyn Malin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0.
