Dionisio Bartoleme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Acuña in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Pontevedra Futbol Club booed when Racing club de Boulogne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Lorencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Racing club de Boulogne's Saul Abajas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Patxi in the 11th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodosio Gora kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Saul Abajas. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Tomas Guib made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Federico Macerio immediately put the ball in play. In the 17th minute of the match, Federico Macerio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Saul Abajas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Imre Grosics scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionisio Bartoleme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Pontevedra Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Imre Grosics came free, but Dionisio Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacobo Acuña in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dionisio Bartoleme saved Pontevedra Futbol Club from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Acuña in the 43rd minute of play forced Pontevedra Futbol Club's goalkeeper Dionisio Bartoleme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionisio Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Acuña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing club de Boulogne's Jacobo Acuña got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Jacobo Acuña made the kick off in the second half. Imre Grosics fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Bartoleme having to interfere. After 53 played minutes Pontevedra Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Americo Orlin. In the 55th minute, Racing club de Boulogne's Jacobo Acuña ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dionisio Bartoleme. Dionisio Bartoleme yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Jacobo Acuña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionisio Bartoleme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Theodore in the 64th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacobo Acuña got free with Dionisio Bartoleme in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Desiderio Lluc in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pontevedra Futbol Club's Javier Millano. Paulino Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Abajas having to interfere. 2-2 became the score in the 81st minute when Teodosio Gora elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Pontevedra Futbol Club's Dionisio Bartoleme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Pontevedra Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 89th match minute, Pontevedra Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Toribio to maneuver through the defense. Dionisio Bartoleme was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Jacobo Acuña capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacobo Acuña really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When the match was over Racing club de Boulogne could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pontevedra Futbol Club throughout the match.
