After 4 minutes, Teofilo Elorri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the paloysemilla and the Salta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to paloysemilla getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Teofilo Elorri hit a great ball. Abraham Sliepers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teofilo Elorri's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When Jairo Guib came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Salta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Guib couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by paloysemilla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Melchor Ederono was slow to take the kick. During this time Salta FC's players had a chance to rest. Salta FC's Melchor Ederono was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silvio Lonzo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 30th minute of the match, Teofilo Elorri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abraham Sliepers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 31 minutes into the game, Melchor Ederono cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Silvio Lonzo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, paloysemilla's Roman Goren got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Melchor Ederono shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Lonzo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Ederono in the 41st minute of play forced paloysemilla's goalkeeper Silvio Lonzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Salta FC's Jairo Guib sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Lonzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silvio Lonzo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Salta FC's Jairo Guib. But to his dismay, Jairo Guib quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

Jairo Guib's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Silvio Lonzo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 62nd minute Melchor Ederono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Lonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Lonzo had great luck who in the 64thth minute grab hold of the ball when Melchor Ederono from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. A collision led to Salta FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jonatan Berdaitz hit a great ball. The supporters of paloysemilla booed when Salta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchor Ederono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Lonzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Ederono in the 80th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, paloysemilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Allbom to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Elorri in the 94th minute of play forced Salta FC's goalkeeper Abraham Sliepers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salta FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
