When Santos Lizbeth came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Cordona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Lizbeth couldn't finish the play. Santos Lizbeth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustaquio Senen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Elpidio Evarado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquin Fero in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Cordona's Elpidio Evarado got control of the ball when Joaquin Fero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquin Fero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Elpidio Evarado made a huge save. If Apolo Mino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Elpidio Evarado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Joaquin Fero fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Osma's protests and gave Joaquin Fero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Osma's Joaquin Fero got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Osma's zone, Apolo Mino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Senen came out of the goal and Apolo Mino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cordona's Elpidio Evarado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Baumar in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Elpidio Evarado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Guifre in the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Maximo Gaxan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cordona's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Gaxan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustaquio Senen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaudencio Milio hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Elpidio Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Bartoleme in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Maximo Gaxan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Osma's Eustaquio Senen. Eustaquio Senen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apolo Mino scored 0-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eustaquio Senen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
