Roque James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnoldo Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque James, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Roque James sped through Pilciao AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnoldo Eyague. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Cordaro in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rdth minute of the game Rogelio Ipar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Tomas Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roque James received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnoldo Eyague came out and tried to block the shot, but Roque James slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 24th minute. Isaias Benvido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Eyague having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Serafino Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilciao AFC and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pilciao AFC's Serafino Rubio got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Isaias Benvido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Cordarrell kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Cordaro to make the kick off. Isaias Benvido struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Arnoldo Eyague didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. Arnoldo Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque James in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Caitano to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Arnoldo Truylos hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Roque James made a precise shot to the right of Arnoldo Eyague. Pilciao AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 79 minutes into the match, Independiente's Roque James sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnoldo Eyague narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Isaias Benvido notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Pilciao AFC's Arnoldo Eyague. Arnoldo Eyague was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roque James in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnoldo Eyague saved Pilciao AFC from getting behind. After 87 minutes of play, Independiente's Dino do Vale made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnoldo Eyague was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute Isaias Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pilciao AFC booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Caitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Independiente fully deserved thier win.
