Atl. Tucuman's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romulo Viviano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Confesor in the 44th minute of play forced Atl. Tucuman's goalkeeper Tiburcio Ciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes of play, Once Rengos's Claudio Confesor made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiburcio Ciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Once Rengos were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Oinaz to make the kick off. Tiburcio Ciano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Once Rengos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
