Tucuman's Tiburcio Ciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Fantini in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Atl. Tucuman getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cosme Cutberto hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Artemio Savion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Oinaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Oinaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Mickael Zevenhuizen made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Atl. Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Fantini came free, but Tiburcio Ciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Modesto Matxin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Francisco Nuxila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Ciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Luix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiburcio Ciano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Deportivo Moreno's Niceto Luix made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiburcio Ciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roman Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Gaur hit a great ball. The supporters of Deportivo Moreno booed when Atl. Tucuman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Vergaray didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Atl. Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Angel Vergaray. After 96 played minutes Deportivo Moreno got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Savion. Feliciano Ayala's late challenge caught a Atl. Tucuman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Ayala helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, one of Deportivo Moreno:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Moreno. Atl. Tucuman were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Deportivo Moreno to leave the ground with a draw.
