The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flavio Reynardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Juan Quin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Gaskon during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute of the match Erubiel Nofre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Quin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Everardo Ariando was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Estudiantes de Hernando's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Bartolo Mano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catigas F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Mano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Quin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Pablo Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de Hernando's protests and gave Pablo Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. Pablo Erasto hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Juan Quin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Reynardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Juan Quin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Mano in the 31st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Flavio Reynardo sped through Estudiantes de Hernando's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Quin. If Bartolo Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Quin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Mano in the 45th minute of play. When Estudiantes de Hernando's Everardo Ariando in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolo Mano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Catigas F.C.'s zone, Everardo Ariando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Flor came out of the goal and Everardo Ariando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Orain kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Catigas F.C.'s Bartolo Mano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Quin. That made the score 0-2 after 67 minutes of play. Flavio Reynardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Juan Quin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bartolo Mano might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Quin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolo Mano ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Reynardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute, Flavio Reynardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bartolo Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luciano Gaskon hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Catigas F.C.'s Angelo Domeka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Quin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Estudiantes de Hernando's Juan Quin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de Hernando from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Estudiantes de Hernando's Juan Quin got control of the ball when Flavio Reynardo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
