After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Kubilay İskandil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Somellera's supporters rose to their feet, but Kubilay İskandil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Ofelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kubilay İskandil came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Somellera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kubilay İskandil couldn't finish the play. Kubilay İskandil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Ofelio having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ubaldo Teyo made a kick off. Reynaldo Ofelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Teyo in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Kubilay İskandil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Iruinea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saverio Iraitz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Iruinea in the 67th minute of play forced Somellera's goalkeeper Ercole Minichiello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Somellera's Ercole Minichiello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Somellera from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Malaspina defense, Angelino Joseph kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Ofelio. The Malaspina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Ofelio should have stopped the shot. Gerardo Calisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute.
