Ambrosio Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Vistruario having to interfere. Ambrosio Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Oscar Bernaldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaias Vistruario was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eustacio Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Atilano Martino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaias Vistruario came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Cojango's Oscar Bernaldo. But to his dismay, Oscar Bernaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Isaac Dalmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Atilano Martino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Bernaldo in the 39th minute of play forced Tacañitas's goalkeeper Isaias Vistruario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atilano Martino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Ayala in the 41st minute of the match. Eustacio Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Atilano Martino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Etxahun struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Atilano Martino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacañitas. After the first half Cojango were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Bernaldo to strike the kick off in the second half. Isaias Vistruario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ambrosio Marquez in the 56th minute. Donato Etxahun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Martino having to interfere. Cojango's Atilano Martino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Eli in the 66th minute of play. Tacañitas were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Cojango's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Freddy Eli took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cojango's goalie and right to Enrique Ekialde. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cojango's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Freddy Eli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Ambrosio Marquez made a precise shot to the right of Isaias Vistruario. Tacañitas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After having played for 81 minutes, Oscar Bernaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cojango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Bernaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Cojango booed when Tacañitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Isaias Vistruario made a huge save. The supporters of Tacañitas booed when Cojango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Bernaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Eustacio Ayala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atilano Martino. Cojango's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustacio Ayala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Cojango were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Tacañitas's much stronger midfield.
