After 43 played minutes Zeus FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Mercurio. Bernardo Rodas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Raninen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Independiente Junior's Emanuel Groves was substituted for Alvar Sandwall. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Rodas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Emanuel Groves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Raninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Groves in the 86th minute of the match. Emanuel Groves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Raninen having to make a save.
