Abel Jacindo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafael Gorka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 minutes, Juan Karlo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente Junior and the Funes Mori FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alvar Sandwall took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Quintana. Serafino Quintana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nicanor Herrera kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
In the 53rd minute, Bernardo Rodas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafino Quintana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Rodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes of play, Independiente Junior's Bernardo Rodas made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino Quintana was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute, Bernardo Rodas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafino Quintana was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 72 minutes into the match, Emanuel Groves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafino Quintana. Funes Mori FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Groves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. In the 80th match minute, Funes Mori FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Sugar to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Funes Mori FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Groves came free, but Serafino Quintana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente Junior's zone, Witomir Wejta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Jacindo came out of the goal and Witomir Wejta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emanuel Groves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Independiente Junior's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
