After a rather tough play, kiwi mecanico junin's Amancio Abeita got a free kick in the 5th minute. Norberto Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Nevada in the 6th minute of play. When Amancio Abeita fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored kiwi mecanico junin's protests and gave Amancio Abeita a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Amancio Abeita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Senin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Joep Dekkers made a huge save. A collision led to Valletta FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nestor Gil hit a great ball. Joep Dekkers made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Melchor Toli sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Prudencio Kismi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joep Dekkers, passed just outside the right post. The long shot by Amancio Abeita in the 28th minute really tested Joep Dekkers's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Joep Dekkers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Kismi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Valletta FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Damaso Fidensio hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Valletta FC's Simon Iraitz got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the last second Joep Dekkers throw himself and got hold of the ball when Prudencio Kismi in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Feliberto Lizer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Joep Dekkers made a huge save. Valletta FC's Joep Dekkers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Toli in the 40th minute of play. Joep Dekkers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Kismi in the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Eliazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joep Dekkers. Valletta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiburcio Eliazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Nevada to strike the kick off in the second half. Oscar Nevada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Norberto Regis made a huge save. Damaso Fidensio was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Valletta FC's Damaso Fidensio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Joep Dekkers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Eliazar's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Nevada during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tiburcio Eliazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joep Dekkers having to interfere. Celso Mirande kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Valletta FC's Nestor Gil quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Amancio Abeita, made in the 85th minute of the game. Oscar Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Arnulfo Dimas in the 90th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Joep Dekkers's left hand side. Tiburcio Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Prudencio Kismi had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. During the 97th minute of the match Simon Iraitz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Simon Iraitz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of kiwi mecanico junin booed when Valletta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Iraitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchor Toli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the kiwi mecanico junin players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
