Gowlan's supporters rose to their feet, but Inocencio Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Beltxe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 33 in the game by Inocencio Batista from a close distance when the talented Arnulfo Beltxe managed to make a qualified save. Achupallas's players were relieved. Natalio Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Cordairo in the 40th minute of play. Casimiro Cordairo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Natalio Montrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niceto Mano kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Gowlan's zone, Casimiro Cordairo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Montrel came out of the goal and Casimiro Cordairo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Gowlan booed when Achupallas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Feliz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnulfo Beltxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Isidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Santos Constancio kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Gowlan got a corner. Achupallas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucas Lope ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lucas Lope made a great header on Gowlan's corner, it was just that Achupallas's Arnulfo Beltxe managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 67th minute, Inocencio Batista made a precise shot to the right of Arnulfo Beltxe. Achupallas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 71 played minutes Gowlan got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Rios. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inocencio Batista in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Beltxe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Achupallas defense, Inocencio Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnulfo Beltxe. The Achupallas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnulfo Beltxe should have stopped the shot. In the 87thth minute of the game Inocencio Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Achupallas's Arnulfo Beltxe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Achupallas's Arnulfo Beltxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Batista in the 95th minute of play. If Zeledon Isidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gowlan walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
