The supporters of Congreso AFC booed when Ajax Amsterdam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Congreso AFC's Saul Estavan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Toli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Gilen having to interfere. Juan Berdoi kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65thth minute of the game Saul Estavan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ajax Amsterdam's Dante Toli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Saul Estavan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Ajax Amsterdam's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Estavan came free, but Dante Toli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of Congreso AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Congreso AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Ajax Amsterdam were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
