La Sensacion's Basilio Eriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Lamberto in the 8th minute of play. Luisito Lamberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Basilio Eriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Constancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Julio Frasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Baladi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes, Modesto Loiola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Sensacion and the El Lucero FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to La Sensacion getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Modesto Loiola hit a great ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Arnulfo Constancio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Lucero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Constancio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basilio Eriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Ovando in the 35th minute of play. Luisito Lamberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, La Sensacion's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Constancio came free, but Basilio Eriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnulfo Constancio took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basilio Eriz. Basilio Eriz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The La Sensacion players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Lucero FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Constancio was the one to do the kick off. Basilio Eriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Constancio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modesto Loiola got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 54 played minutes La Sensacion got a freekick which was hit by Julio Frasco. Arnulfo Constancio struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. El Lucero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erich Jost was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basilio Eriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Basilio Eriz made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Pablo Constancio sent off a good shot on target. Adrian Bertol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Baladi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Adrian Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laureano Norino charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. It was beautiful to see El Lucero FC's Haroldo Cai in action when he in the 78th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! El Lucero FC's Leo Baladi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Orkatz in the 83rd minute of play. After 87 played minutes La Sensacion got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Bertol. Pablo Constancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Eriz having to interfere.
