Wilfredo Iigo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When Los Pelusa's Remigio Arano in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rangugni F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute Antonio Gagriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Rangugni F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Gagriel came free, but Wilfredo Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jeronimo Galeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rangugni F.C's Wilfredo Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Gagriel in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Jeronimo Galeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bartolo Leocadio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Antonio Gagriel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Iigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. A hard shot 44 in the game by Remigio Arano from a close distance when the talented Wilfredo Iigo managed to make a qualified save. Rangugni F.C's players were relieved. With a little luck, Rangugni F.C's Wilfredo Iigo got control of the ball when Remigio Arano tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Augusto Quin made the kick off in the second half. Ruperto Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remigio Arano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Wilfredo Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Senen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Rangugni F.C's Wilfredo Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Tomi in the 69th minute of play. Remigio Arano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Iigo having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Victorino Mederi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rangugni F.C and the Los Pelusa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Los Pelusa's Justo Tomi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Rangugni F.C defense, Justo Tomi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Iigo. The Rangugni F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Iigo should have stopped the shot. Remigio Arano struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Wilfredo Iigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Pelusa. The audience was convinced that Justo Tomi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfredo Iigo was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Remigio Arano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Iigo having to interfere. Remigio Arano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wilfredo Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remigio Senen in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Iigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
