Virgilio Leoncio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Serafino Sein made a huge save. Markos Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Cristo Efraim scored to the left of an out of position Serafino Sein, making the score, 1-0. Cristian Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Edgardo Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Markos Juniors's goalkeeper Serafino Sein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Uzuri. After a defensive mix-up in Humaitá AFC's zone, Gaston Weather stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Polentzi came out of the goal and Gaston Weather tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Chumo got free with Serafino Sein in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Humaitá AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Laureano Chumo hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Markos Juniors's Cristian Perez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Polentzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgardo Polentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Perez in the 19th minute of play. Markos Juniors's Serafino Sein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Markos Juniors from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Abel Uzuri took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Serafino Sein to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute Abel Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Sein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Markos Juniors getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jan-Maria Pazdan hit a great ball. A hard shot by Abel Uzuri from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Serafino Sein's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Markos Juniors's Serafino Sein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Efraim in the 42nd minute of play. Cristian Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Polentzi having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Jan-Maria Pazdan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markos Juniors and the Humaitá AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abel Uzuri shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Perez to make the kick off. Markos Juniors's Serafino Sein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Chumo in the 59th minute of play. Edgardo Polentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Markos Juniors's Serafino Sein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Leoncio in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Abel Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Sein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Humaitá AFC's Virgilio Leoncio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafino Sein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Cristian Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Polentzi having to interfere. In the 81stth minute of the game Cristian Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Humaitá AFC's Edgardo Polentzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Leoncio in the 85th minute of play forced Markos Juniors's goalkeeper Serafino Sein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Polentzi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cristian Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Markos Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Polentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafino Sein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Leoncio in the 99th minute of play. Humaitá AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
