With a left leg Jimeno Faron saved Bermejo from getting behind. Gabriel Cresencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Faron having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Garikoitz in the 59th minute of play forced Bermejo's goalkeeper Jimeno Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Franklin got a corner. Bermejo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo Bento ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Angelo Bento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bermejo's Jimeno Faron did a great save. In the 64th minute of the match Jonas Nalo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmiro Frederik skillfully saved the ball. If Gabriel Cresencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Cresencio struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jimeno Faron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Franklin. The referee ignored Bermejo's protests and gave Alfredo Nevada a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bermejo getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Alfredo Nevada hit a great ball. Angelo Bento, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bermejo's zone, Gabriel Cresencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimeno Faron came out of the goal and Gabriel Cresencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jimeno Faron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Argenis in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Bermejo booed when Franklin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Dolfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualterio Obano spun around in front of the goal 92 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Franklin's goal. Jimeno Faron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Cresencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bermejo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
