The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pastor Tab's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delmiro Frederik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Delmiro Frederik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Tab in the 14th minute of play. Gabriel Cresencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Wilfredo Manny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Dolfos might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfredo Manny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Dolfos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duggan's goalkeeper Wilfredo Manny, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliberto Argenis during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Franklin's Feliberto Argenis got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gabriel Cresencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Cresencio in the 37th minute of play forced Duggan's goalkeeper Wilfredo Manny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Frederik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duggan. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Cresencio was the one to do the kick off. In the 70thth minute of the game Gabriel Cresencio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Duggan's Wilfredo Manny was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilfredo Manny was a little too slow when Gabriel Cresencio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-2. The supporters of Duggan booed when Franklin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duggan's Domingos Rosario couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Franklin. If Gabriel Cresencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Duggan's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Argenis came free, but Wilfredo Manny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Elvio Garikoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Franklin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Franklin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
