Spectators: 7041 (Terracing: 5313, Seating: 1628, VIP seats: 100) Marcelo Ferrando started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. River Plate's Octavio Petrigai was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 5th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Fabio Cuartio scored 2-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gogo Alonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Octavio Petrigai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gogo Alonso having to make a save. A collision led to Gauchos Maulas FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Melquiades Gentza hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes Gauchos Maulas FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Mendez. In the 23rd minute, Léo Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gauchos Maulas FC's Gogo Alonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Gauchos Maulas FC from getting a goal against them. Gogo Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Petrigai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Gauchos Maulas FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Quico. Octavio Petrigai had several of the Gauchos Maulas FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Gogo Alonso as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octavio Petrigai in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gogo Alonso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When River Plate's Octavio Petrigai in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gauchos Maulas FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th minute Octavio Petrigai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Alonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gauchos Maulas FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Melquiades Gentza hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Gogo Alonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octavio Petrigai went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Octavio Petrigai got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute, Octavio Petrigai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Gogo Alonso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavio Petrigai's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gauchos Maulas FC's zone, Tiburcio Berdoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Alonso came out of the goal and Tiburcio Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiburcio Berdoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Alonso having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Octavio Petrigai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gogo Alonso was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Gogo Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Petrigai in the 76th minute of play. Octavio Petrigai scored 7-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gogo Alonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Gauchos Maulas FC's zone, Octavio Petrigai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Alonso came out of the goal and Octavio Petrigai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabio Cuartio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Petrigai scored 8-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gogo Alonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gogo Alonso came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Octavio Petrigai. But to his dismay, Octavio Petrigai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. Gogo Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Cuartio in the 99th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. River Plate fully deserved thier win.
